March and Battle of Trenton

The nine mile march to Trenton began shortly after 7am on December 31st. Several members made the historic march which traveled through present day Hopewell Township, Ewing Township and Trenton.  Arriving shortly after 10:30 after a brisk march, we were able to break to rest our feet and get the cannon ready to attack the Hessians.  The first battle was a rout of the opposing forces near the Trenton Barracks.  During the second battle, we were able to hold back the Redcoats from overwhelming our forces.
